Hello! My name is Sierra Cenek, a senior at Dunlap High School. I was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois and I can attest, it's not a bad place to grow up. I live with my 5 family members: my dad (Peter), my mom (Heather), my brother (Nicholas), my sister (Samantha), and last but definitely not least, my 6 pound dog Olive. This place I call my home has taught me many valuable lessons as well as allowed me to meet my pretty awesome second family. And who may that second family be other than... my best friends. They have been great blessings in my life and I am thankful to have spent my high school career with them at my side. I would describe myself as athletic and adventurous, always willing to do and try new things. Although soccer has been my passion from a young age, upon becoming a student at Dunlap I wanted to try something new. My love for running blossomed after joining the cross country team. I met some very talented and gutsy runners who taught me everything I needed to know about what it took to be successful. After many seasons of hard work I was able to experience something not many people can say they have experienced...A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!! Pretty unreal I know! Sports are not the only part of my life I feel very passionate about, I also am a member of Key Club. I really enjoy volunteering and meeting new people. Hearing others stories have really brought a new light to my life. Country music also takes up a big place in my heart. Attending concerts with my family and friends is one of my favorite ways to fill up free time. Throughout my blog, I hope to not only share my passion for fitness but also share some of my tips and tricks for being a healthy, happy high school athlete.
